Kids Need
According
to the Fall 2000 report to the President of the United States from
the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Secretary of Education,
“Physical inactivity has contributed to an unprece-dented epidemic
of childhood obesity that is currently plaguing the US”. With
physical education programs being cut year after year, kids are not
getting their daily requirements of exercise. In fact, 75% of today’s
youth do not even exercise 20 minutes a day! ![]() significant risk factor
contributing to obesity in elementary and middle school aged children.
